The following area scales may be used for direct acreage readings from Aerial Survey Maps to 660 feet to the inch. Agencies of the US Dept. of Agriculture, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Services (ASCS), Soil Conservation Service and many other governmental agencies use 660 scaling in their plotting.
